Privacy Policy

BabyChat helps families create and share baby care logs. This policy explains what information BabyChat collects, how it is used, and how you can delete your account.

Information we collect

• Account data: email address, display name, authentication provider identifiers, and related sign-in metadata.
• Baby profile data: baby name and optional birth date.
• Baby logs: bottles, diapers, sleep, nursing, pumping, notes, timestamps, and caregiver attribution where applicable.
• Family and caregiver access: invite codes and access records used to let parents and caregivers share a baby’s logs.
• Smart Log input: typed text, transcribed voice input, and information extracted from photos if you use photo parsing for handwritten baby logs.
• Purchase information: Premium status and purchase information from RevenueCat and the Apple or Google app stores.

Voice, text, and image processing

Voice input is used for transcription and log creation. Typed entries, transcribed voice, and photos may be processed by BabyChat and its service providers to turn natural input into structured baby logs.

Smart Logs and AI processing: When you use typed or voice Smart Logs, photo note scanning, or Ask About Logs, BabyChat sends the content needed to process that request to Anthropic, a third-party AI service. This may include typed or spoken baby-care text, selected note photos, baby setup preferences, saved baby logs, growth measurements, timestamps, and relevant baby profile context. BabyChat uses the AI response to prepare draft logs or factual saved-log answers. Manual logging does not use AI processing.

If you choose photo or image parsing, the image is processed to create the requested log and provide the feature. We do not use submitted photos for advertising or marketing.

Services we use

• Supabase provides account sign-in, database storage, realtime sync, and app services.
• RevenueCat helps BabyChat confirm Premium access and purchase status.
• Apple App Store and Google Play process payments for subscriptions purchased through their stores.
• Anthropic provides third-party AI processing for Smart Logs, photo note scanning, and saved-log questions when you choose to use those features.

How we use information

• Provide account access and authentication.
• Create, organize, sync, edit, and delete baby logs.
• Support shared family/caregiver access through invite codes.
• Provide Smart Log parsing from voice, text, photos, and saved-log questions.
• Manage Premium access and app functionality.
• Maintain safety, security, troubleshooting, and support.

Family sharing

BabyChat supports shared family and caregiver access. People with valid invite access may be able to view and add logs for the baby they are invited to help track.

Account deletion

You can delete your account in the BabyChat app from the account or settings menu. If you cannot access the app, email hello@getbabychat.com from your account email for help. See the Delete Account page for details.
